Mosaic lessons

So I was advised to use this backer board because it was lightweight.

And it is.  But it has some flex to it.  I thought it was ok.  When moving one of the smaller panels, this one piece kept popping off. (In the photo below, top center white area)  I realized it is the point where the panel flexes the most.

I stopped moving them unless absolutely necessary.  But I still noticed some breakage on some of the glass in that same general area, even just moving the panel outside. 😦

I don’t think it will effect the final design much, but a lesson learned.
