Altered book: Wolf

My sister is visiting.  We get into all kinds of cool mischief.  This time she wanted to play around with altering books.  So we went to the thrift store.

I found this…I didn’t even know that a book to help with crosswords existed!

Turning to the Q’s, I found a page that had ‘quarry’: pit, game, mine, prey, chase, delve, pluck, victim…and on the same page, ‘quarrel’ and ‘quarrelsome’ with gems like brawl, battle, bicker, squall, strife, altercate, disaccord, contention, altercation, controversy, belligerent, argumentative, and more.  I could see ‘quandary’: fix, jam, pickle, predicament, dilemma… and ‘qualm’ was on the page next to it and bled over words like uncertainty, apprehension, and unwillingness.

Then I saw the wolf in my mind.  This is as close as I could get.

I gessoed the page and got to work.

I am enjoying this…
