Clay Series: Heart Condition

Red glazes are not my friend.  I had wax resisted everywhere the chain touched, then dunked the heart in Cranberry red. It came out green.   Apparently, a lot of conditions need to be met, and the stars aligned correctly to get a good red.  I then tried spraying it repeatedly with hairspray (to give a textured surface for the glaze to adhere to) and sprayed more red through an air gun, and it still didn’t come out red!  But at least the green got toned down.
