Mural:California Memories

Before, we had a large off-white building, with a beautiful garden backyard (although it is still recovering from frost, so not much green…yet.)

The Sutter Buttes, the landscape my parents grew up seeing.   My father roamed these hills, and knows its secret places.   The orchards were from the family ranch, sold in recent years, that our ancestors began in the 1900’s.

The blacker rock is a nod to some Indian grinding stones Dad found back in those hills.

Alfalfa and Rice fields, and the grand oak that once stood on the property.

Sunflower fields.

This work has been talked about for years, and is definitely a large unicorn sighting!  What a fun project to do with my dad!
